Since then the veil has dropped again, but it is raised by a woman. The author of " My Journey to Lhasa" is Madame David Neel. This lady, studying Buddhism in India, fell under the spell of tho Himalayan beyond. For two years she lived in a cave learning the language from an old hermit. After many dangers and terrible hardships she crossed the giant ranges, and, begging her way on foot, reached Lhasa "tho mysterious" at last.
