A public meeting of Birkdale resMcnts was held yesterday to elect the management committee of the public hall, and to receive the report and balance-sheet. The trustees and guarantors, Messrs. W. G. Wood. A. Hopkins, R. F. Kay, J. M. Brown and P. G. Leo were appointed, with Messrs. L. Bentlev, H. S. Collins. W. flewson, G. Hopkins, .T- Bishop and Walker, to act on the committee of management
