LAW OF BROADCASTING.
RACE RESULTS NOT MUSIC. RULING IN AUSTRALIA. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, Aug. 18. The New South Wales AttorneyGeneral, Mr. A. A. Lysaght, has given a ruling that race results which have been broadcast are news items, and may be posted up in hotel bars. The police had previously disallowed this practice, as they claimed that it came under the existing ban with regard to musical items.
