DAFFODIL GROWING.

The cultivation of daffodils was dealt with in lectures given to members of the Auckland Horticultural Society in St. Andrew's Hall last evening, 'l'hc president, Mr. W. J. Wernham, presided. Mr. J. H. Braithwaite spoke on tho classification of blooms and Mr. "R. Thornton dealt with general cultivation and soil conditions. The subject of cross-pollina-tion was taken by Mr. N. R. Thomas, who also showed several slides of exhibits at the Midlands Daffodil Show, England. A display of early daffodil blooms was arranged and „about 200 were on 6how.
