ABSENT PARTNERS WANTED. ORDERS FOR THEIR RETURN. Among the many undefended divorce cases that came before Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court yesterday were several petitions for restitution of conjugal rights. They were not opposed and all were granted. "One of tiiese unfortunate war marriages," said Mr. Denniston, who appeared in support of the petition brought by Alexander Reginald Ellis against Olivia Blanche Ellis, to whom he was married in London in December, 1916. Petitioner stated that, in November, 1921, with his wife's full consent, he left England to make a home for her in New Zealand. As soon as he had secured permanent employment hero and was in a position to do so he sent her £SO to enable her to come to him. She would not come and refused to accept the money. His Honor made a decree ordering respondent to return to petitioner within 60 days. Inability to provide enough money to spend on amusement was stated by Thomas Edward Dowdle (Mr. S. Tong) to be the original cause of trouble hetween'himself and his wife, Laura Elenor Dowdle. An order was sought for restitution of conjugal rights. Petitioner said he had tried to make his wife return to him, but she had refused, stating she would rather live apart. An order was made. Orders for the restitution of conjugal rights were made against Elizabeth Hilda Blake, on the petition of Sidney Augustine Blake (Mr. Matthews), launch proprietor, of Taupo; against Elof Amandus Person, on the petition' of Dora Caroline Person (Mr. Dickson) : against Arthur Robert ITuches, on the petition of Lorna Arena] Trimble Hughes (Mr. Readv) : against Bertha McNanll, on the petition of Robert McNaull (Mr. C. A. Snedden), of Thames; against Doiiclas Rams-tv Cartrill Mowbray, on the petition of Kathleen Frances Emma Mowbrav (Mr. Gould). ,
