FATAL FALL FROM LORRY.

DEATH OF A LITTLE BOY. A LIFT HOME FROM SCHOOL. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Thursday. An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of a boy, Kenneth Hutchinson, aged five years, who was killed at Orini through falling from a motor-lorry and being run over by the vehicle. It was stated in evidence that the deceased and eight other children wero given a lift home from school by a farmer, who was driving the lorry. The deceased lad was in the cab, and he opened the door before the lorry stopped and fell out. The wheels passed over him and killed him instantly. The coroner, Mr. Wyvern Wilson, found that death was due to an accident, and that the driver was in no way to blame. Mr. Wilson deprecated the dangerous practice of giving children rides on heavily-laden lorries.
