RIVERINA STILL FAST.

A and N.Z. SYDNEY, Aug. 17. Strenuous efforts are being made on the present high tides to refloat the stranded steamer Riverina, which went ashore on Gabo Island, off the, coast of Victoria, on April 17, but with little success. Further attempts will bo made at tho next full moon. In the meantime, more sand pumps will be installed.
