ACCIDENT IN LONDON.

AUCKLAND DOCTOR AND WIFE INJURED WHILE IN MOTOR. A. and N.Z.-Sun. LONDON, Aug. 16. Two visitors from Auckland, Dr. H. F. Holmden and Mrs. Holmden, were detained in Charing Cross Hospital as the result of an accident to a taxicab. The driver attempted to avoid a pedestrian and crashed into a street refuge in the Haymarket. The cab was wrecked. The driver and the pedestrian are also in the hospital. Dr. Holmden and Mrs. Holmden left Auckland in April for a visit to England and the Continent. Since his arrival Dr. Holmden has continued his medical studios at various hospitals in England and Scotland. Recently he had arranged to make a motor tour and intended to visit Edinburgh and Inverness, according to a' letter received by his father, who lives in Auckland. Mrs. Holmden's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Bennett, live in Papatoetoe.
