M. ZAIMIS' SELECTION. SAME FINANCE MINISTER. (Received August 17, 11.10 p.m.) A. and N.Z.-Sun. ATHENS. Aug. 17. The Premier of Greece, M. Zaimis, lias formed a new Cabinet. M. Cafandaris retains tiie portfolio of Finance. A Coalition Cabinet was formed hi Greece in December, 1926, by M. Zaimis. M. Cafandaris became Minister of Finance and M. Tsaldaris Minister of the Interior. M. Zaimis was Premier for the first time in 1897. and again in 1899 and in 1902. In 1915 he was again in office for six months, and for three months in 1916. Tie was Premier" fc?r the sixth time from May to June, 1917. On Friday last systematic obstruction by the Rovalists resulted in the disruption of the Coalition Cabinet. M. Tsaldaris and other members left the Council Chamber. The immediate cause of the crisis was a scheme proposed by M. Cafandaris. which would have deprived the National Bank of its right to issue banknotes. M. Cafandaris proposed to establish a new bank for the purpose of issuing notes.
