NEW DEMANDS ON OWNERS, j (Received August IS, 1,2.26 a.m.) A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Aug 17. The Seamen's Union has served a demaud on the inter-State shipowners for a j new log. They claim, inter alia, an increase of £5 a month in their wages, three weeks' annual leave on full pay, and a 44-hours working week.
