Tho Turua Town Board has decided to strike the following rates for the year 1927-28: —General, l£d in the £; lighting rate, |d in the £, with 5 per cent, rebate if paid within the month. Rating in both cases is on the capital value basis. At a meeting of the Turua School Committee the appointment of Mr. F. H. Shepherd as headmaster of the Turua School was confirmed. The annual meeting of the Turua Dairy Company will be held on Thursday, and will" be followed by an entertainment in the Turua Hall in the evening.
