RUGBY LEAGUE.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. SYDNEY CLUB TEAM'S VISIT. AUCKLAND TO GO ON TOUR. The Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League met last evening. Mr. G. Rhodes presided. Confirmation of the acceptance of the Auckland League's invitation to play three or four games here was received in a lengthy letter from the St. George District League Club. Sydney. The letter stated that a particularly strong side would be sent on tour Every man at present playing in the club competition was available. The personnel of tho St. George team will include F Burgo, A Kelly A. Justice and S Brain, all State representatives. In addi tion other internationals in W Benson. C. Tye and G. Carstaira will be incl tded. A lengthy discussion followed the Advisory Committee's recommendation dealing with the tour and the dates suggested by that body involved complications owing to the previous intention of the League to send an Auckland team on tour of the South Mr. W J Davidson said it was imperative that the St. George Club should come to Auckland, and it would not be wise to send an Auckland team on tour at the same time. Mr. E. V. Fox would not favour any confirmation of dates unless the best Auckland team was opposed to tho visitors. Mr. C. Adamson spoke of tho lengthy nature of the programme ahead, and said ho was of tho opinion that the tour of the St. George team should be deferred until the Auckland team came back from its Southern tour, lie also expressed the opinion that the Roope Rooster competi (ion should bo proceeded with while the Auckland team was away thereby saving several Saturdays. Finality was reached when it was decided to solid the Auckland team on tour at (ho conclusion of the St George Club's visit. It was turtner resolved to submit the following dates to the St. George Club: September 3. 7. 10 and 14 A committee consisting of Messrs.
