OLD BOYS WIN COMFORTABLY.

The annual Rugby match between present and past students of the Sacrod Heart College attracted a large crowd of spectator at Victoria Park yesterday afternoon. A pleasing feature of the game was the fine play of the present students' inside backs, ilassan. McDonald and Mallett. The Old Boys opened with the sun behind them and soon had tho Students defending. Ftorn a scnuu near the lino Marbin made an opening and Loft dashed across to score. The kick failed. Then Berean picked up and aide-stepped his way over. The try was not converled and Old Boys had a lead of six points. Just before half-time Butler j scored and Pilling converted, making the half-time scores: Old Boys, 11-. Present Boys, 0. The exhibition was a very poor one, but Wellington was undoubtedly tho superior team. At half-time the scoro was 13 to nil in Wellington's favour The play among the backs was inferior to the work of the forwards, but Kilby. a former Southland footballer, who was half back for Wellington, clayed brilliantly, sending out fine passes and making boauti ful openings. At a meeting ot the Wellington Bowling Centre it was decided to adopt a plan based on that ruling in Auckland which, it was stated, had given satisfaction. Clubs will be divided into eight groups, each to consist of 22 rinks. A number of other propositions were either defeated or withdrawn. The discussion indicated that some clubs will not take part in the new scheme.
