Good kicking bv Petty had Wairarapa in difficulties, but Clarke saved the situation. Parker secured the ball, raced to the fullback, kicked past him, again secured the ball and touched down near the corner. The kick failed. The W-ai-rarapa forwards carried play to the Taranaki twenty-five, and Hiroti started a movement from which Cooke scored. Cundy converted easily Wairarapa, 11; Taranaki, 0. Obstruction by Wairarapa gave Brown a chance and ho landed a fine goal. The second half saw the Taranaki forwards playing better and "Wairarapa had n period on defence, but.
