GIFT PROPOSED BY FRIENDS.

The Daily Mail says friends of the Earl of Oxford, who is now in his 75th year, are preparing a gift for him in recognition of his great services to the Empire over many years.
It is hoped that the gift may take the form of an annuity of £2500.
