LABOUR DISUNITED.
NEW SOUTH WALES FACTIONS
PARTY RULED BY EXTREMISTS
A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, July .26, The united conference of the Australian Labour Party has not resulted in the establishment of harmony between the factions in New South Wales. The result has been rather to cause definite defections from the Lang Labour Party. Most of the members of Mr. T. D. Mutch's party now recognise that they will either have to retire from politics or contest the elections as Independents. Mr. P. F. Loughlin, the former deputyleader of the party, said it was a case of swinging the industrial bludgeon to smash all persons of moderate views. The adoption of Red rule provided a back-door entrance to the party for the Communists.
