SENTENCES ON COMMUNISTS.
FINES AND IMPRISONMENT.
' ' (Received Jul7 26, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. PARIS, July 25. A Court of Correction has passed sentence on the Communists who were charged with espionage in French armament factories and aerodromes on behalf of the Soviet GovernmentFines of from 1000 to 5000 francs were irflicted on six of them, and they were also sentenced to terms of imprisonment varying from 16 months to five years. A councillor Cremet and the secretary o£ the organisation, who had long evaded arrest, were fined 100,000 fr?ncs and deprived of their civic rights for five years, and were also sentenced to five years' solitary confinement.
