EARL OF BALFOUR AT WORK.
IN CHARGE OF DOMINIONS,
(British Official Wireless.) , (Keceived July 26, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. RUGBY, July 25. The Earl of Balfour, who is 79 years old to-day, celebrated his birthday by taking over the charge of the Dominions Office in the absence in Canada of the Secretary of State for the Dominions, Mr. L. S. Amery. . . Many telegrams of congratulation were received by Lord Balfour, who still plays lawn tennis and takes a keen interest in the game. One message was from the International Lawn Tennis Club of ■ Great Britain, which represents 13 nations.
