Brisbanej 4QG (385 metres). —8 p.m., stories for children by "Little Miss Brisbane"; 8.30 p.m., news service; 9.15 p.m., talk on horticultural topics by Mr. J. W. Howie; 9.30 p.m., concert programme, including selections by the Federal Band; selections by studio orchestra; items by a- male quartette; vocal and instrumental - items.

ITEMS OP INTEREST. The Wellington and Dunedin stations ■will be silent to-day and listeners-in will have to depend for their entertainment in New Zealand on the Auckland and Christchurch stations. The New Lynn Glee Club, -which will broadcast a concert from IYA this evening, comprises a band of talented vocalists and instrumentalists. In addition to concerted numbers, solo items will also be given. The Christchurch station has provided a varied programme for this evening. Listeners will be treated to orchestral music, vocal and instrumental items by some of Christchurch's leading artists; and a talk on comets by the Rev, B. Dudley.

Two fine Australian bands will be on the air this evening. The Brisbane station, 4QG, is relaying a concert by the Federal Band, under the conductorship of Mr. W. H. Davis, while the Sydney station, 2BL, is broadcasting items by the Canterbury District Band. These bands should be picked up any time after 9.30 p.m., New Zealand time.
