LIFE LOST IN FIRE.

FARMER BURNED TO DEATH. HOUSEKEEPER SERIOUSLY HURT. [by telegraph.——press association.] INVERCARGILL, Wednesday. A well-known farmer and sawmiller, Mr. James Lindsay, of Winton, was burned to death this morning. His housekeeper woke to find the dwelling burning, and she was severely burned about the arms in attempting to arouse Mr. Lindsay. The house was destroved.
