WOMAN ELECTROCUTED.
USING AN ELECTRIC IRON. A young married worn ah, Mrs. Kathleen May Burke, aged 34, a resident of East Brisbane, was electrocuted while using an electric iron in the kitchen of her homo on June 19, -while alone in the house. Shortly before 11 o'clock a neighbour, Mrs. Louisa Camp, heard a thud, fol lowed by moans. Rushing in, she found Mrs. Burke on the iioor appai'ently dead, with an electric iron beside her, and the current turned on at the switch. Witli another neighbour she tried to restore animation, and at the same time had medical aid summoned. When a doctor arrived, howtiver, Mrs. Burke was found to be dead. The deceased woman's husband was absent at the time at Ayr. North Queensland. She had no children.
