HIGH SCHOOL OLD PUPILS.
WHANGAREI ASSOCIATION. [by telegraph.-own correspondent.] WHANGAREI, Wednesday. The eighth annual meeting of the Whangarei High School Old Pupils' Association was held this evening in the new school, Mr. G. A. Bethell presiding. The secretary's report stated that the financial membership now stood at 170. The balance-sheej; showed a credit of £221. Three committee members retired by rotation. The following officers were elected: — President Mr. G. A. Bethell; vice-pre-sidents, Miss Lupton and Mr. H. Carruth ; secretary, Mr. J. Murdoch; assist-ant-secretary, Miss Alma McKay; treasurer, Mr. N. P. Jack; committee. Miss M. McPhee, Messrs. J. Webber and I. Macken; auditors, Messrs;. D. G. Thompson and W. N. Jack. Hockey and Rugby games will be played to-day and the annual ball will be held on Friday.
