The delegation welcomed criticism and suggestions, and invited those present to give them the benefit of their experience. The chairman, Mr. F. H. Claphatn, said that a Hamilton resident, Mr. R. It. V. Challiner, had prepared valuable statistics relating to New Zealand motor traffic, and it was as the result of Mr. Challiner's efforts that the delegation had paid its visit. A number of those present expressed their opinions of British cars. Sir Archibald Boyd-Carpenter expressed his thanks for the information, and said it had not fallen on deaf ears. The delegation left shortly afterwards by car for Rotorua.
