NEW ZEALAND CRICKETERS

WORCESTERSHIRE MATCIL VISITORS ALL OUT FOR 276. HOME SIDE THREE FOR 78. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. A. andVz. LONDON. June 8. The New Zealand cricketers to-day commenced a match against Worcestershire at Worcester. Tho visitors won the toss and batted first. The New Zealanders started badly, losing three wickets for 65. 1 hen they extricated themselves from a nastly hole, thanks primarily to Lowry and Dacro, who rose nobly to tho occasion. Tarbox and Price started bowling triumphantly. They might have delivered the death-blow to New Zealand if the fieldsman at mid-off had accepted a chance Lowry gave before he had scored. Undismayed, Lowry settled down to tackle precisely the sort of task in which ho revels. He had Alieott's able assistance. He was again missed when 110 had made 13. Otherwise he batted splendidly. He was at tho wickets 105 minutes and hit 10 boundaries. A well-known .cricket judge expressed tlio opinion that English cricket will lose greatly when Lowry leaves for New Zealand again, as ho is undoubtedly a great cricket personality. Dacre gave another typically dashing exhibition. He hit hard and attractively. He and McGirr added 115 to the score. Tarbox deserved his .six wickets. He bore the brunt of the bowling. The batting of Worcester was rather dismal. The batsmen feared the slow bowlers. New Zealand's fielding was excellent. Details of the scores are:—
