WASHINGTON RECEPTION, STATE CEREMONIES PLANNED FESTIVITIES ON VAST SCALE, By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright, (Received June 9, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON, June 8, The gigantic preparations which are being made for the reception of Captain C. Lindbergh, who will arrive in tho United States cruiser Memphis on June 11, are about completed. Ihe ceremonies will be begun with tho official welcome at the foot of tho Washington Monument, followed by addresses in the Capitol Building. There will be a State "hall in the evening, to which the members of the Diplomatic Corps and the cream of Washington society have been invited. The committee in charge of the arrangements say it will be impossible to accommodate the crowds that are certain to attend the festivities, which will be the greatest seen in Washington for many years. Mrs. Lindbergh, the hero's mother, will be received by Mrs. Coolidge and will remain guest. Later on Captain Lindbergh and his mother will go to New York. Captain Lindbergh intends to fly to New York in own famous plane, where his reception will far outstrip all previous demonstrations.
