USE OF SAP TIMBER.
Sir, —There has been much controversy of opinion as to the use of sap timber for the erection of wooden houses. 1 think the time has come for the City and Borough Councils of Auckland to insist that nothing but heart timber be used, both inside and outside of wooden houses. I speak feelingly on the sub iect, as I bought a house in Heme three years ago and defects are appearing throughout owing to sap timber having been used, particularly in the balcony rails, which are rotting. Victim.
