PROSPEROUS YEAR END. SURPLUS AND SMALLER DEBT. . (Beoeived June 8, 10.37 p.m.) San. WASHINGTON. June 7. The national accounts show a surplus of £140,000,000. The Secretary to tho Treasury, Mr. Mellon, announces that the public debt has been y reduced by £240,000,000. This makes the past year the most successful in the term cf the Coolidge Administration.
