HOTELS IN FRANKLIN.

RENEWAL OF LICENCES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PUKEKOHB, Wednesday. The annual meeting of ■ the Franklin Licensing Committee was held to-day, the chairman, Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., presiding. Sunday improvements in regard to sanitary and bathroom provision at certain hotels, as required by the committee, were reported to have been effected or to bo nearing completion. The transfer of the licence of the Marine Hotel, Howick, from T. H. Millward to T. E. Tasker, was approved, and also the transfer of the licence of the Papakura Hotel from Grace Stevens to R. Petherbridge. All applications for renewals were granted.
