The infant daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York, Princess Elizabeth, de- j lighted a crowd of people in Windsor j Castle gardens by " conducting" the Life Guards' Band. When a nurse brought the Princess to the great window which overlooks the terrace on Sunday afternoon to listen to th» band the baby began to clap her hands. King George and Queen Mary, who Were in the room, were quickly attracted to the window and their faces were Wreathed in smiles when they saw Elizabeth's hands moving as though she wera following the bandmaster. Word quickly went round the Palace that the Princess was conducting the band and soon the Duke of Connaught, Prince Henry and other members of the Royal family were at the window.
