CAPSIZE OF MOTOR.

EIGHT PEOPLE THROWN OUT. BABY UNINJURED IN HEDGE. WOMAN'S COLLARBONE BROKEN. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday. Nine people had a miraculous escape from serious injury -when they were thrown from a motor-car which capsized on the Junction Road, about a mile north of Egmont Village, yesterday afternoon. Five adults and four children were in the vehicle. One of the latter, a baby, was subsequently found uninjured in a high boxthorn hedge bordering the road. The car, an open touring model with the hood up, was driven by Mr. Robert L. Lovell, of New Plymouth, who was on his way to town. He had to draw off the road to pass a service car going out from New Plymouth and in regaining the asphalt after having travelled in the soft mud at the roadside, Mr. Lovell's car capsized, turning over several times. All the occupants except Mr. Lovell were apparently thr<swn clear the moment the car capsized. The driver, however, was pulled out from beneath the upturned vehicle. Several of the occupants were cut about the hands and face. Mrs. E. Howeli was subsequently admitted to the hospital suffering from a broken collarbone. The superstructure of the car was wrecked but the body suffered little damage. Thd car was later driven seven miles into town under its own power.
