FIRST MATCH ON JUNE 3. 't he first match for the Eanfurlv Shield this year will be played between Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa on June 3. Last season in the shield ganic between the two teams, Hawke s Ij.iv won bv T7 points to 14. and in a leturn game it'was again successful bv 40 points to 12. Irs view of thfl changes in the Hawke's Rav team and the fact, that Wairarapa has been strengthened bv A. E Cooke and \V. Irvine, and that lan Harvey and J. Donald and Quentin Donald may s Lso assist Wairarapa, the jiateh is sure to create a de;d of interest.
