BUS FARES.
Sir, —I notice in Saturday's isano of your paper, referring to tram and bus fares, you stated that the bus fnrp3 to Parnell, Hillsborough and Waikowhai would not lie alferoo Hut notices in the Parnell busies show that first section people must pay 3d cash, and second section 4d or 3s concession card, which, by the way, is available on buses only. The 3d minimum on buses travelling along the tram lino is right enough, oecaU(?<j the trains cater for these people, but why should Parnell Park and Point Res»ohi? tion residents be required to pay only 3d per week less than Onehunga people"? That is what it amounts to, as Onehungq workers' csirds are 3s 3d and Parnell 3s. The fare by tram to St. Stephen's Avenue is as before, 2s 2d by card, and, now that the above ridiculous fare is to be charged on the " Park " and " Point " buses, the tramway authorities will find that tho usual bus patrons will profot the trams to St. Stephen's. Result—t Empty buses and Remu.cn! trams crowded out. Square DUAL.
