WAITEMATA POWER BOARD.
ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN. MR. HAYDEN AGAIN APPOINTED. Mr. J. W. Hayden, who has been chairman of the Waiteniata EJectric-Fower Board since its formation, was unanimously reappointed to the position at the annual meeting of tho board yesterday. There WHS a full attendance of members, inelradipg Mr. J. D. Morison, of Takapuna, who was elected last week. EksturnSng thanks for hi? election, Mr.. Hayden said that, while it had not been his intention to seek re-election, he intended to do his utmost to deserve the vote of confidence passed in him. He extended a welcome to Mr. Morisori and trusted his presence would result in profit; to the hoard and to himself. What wa& fained in Mr. Morison * was lost in Mr. i. 0. Walton, whose,defeat at. the recent election removed one of the pioneer member* who had performed valuable work, Mr. Walton's services were also eulogised by Mr. J. Mackie. It was resolved to send a letter to Mr. Walton, embodying an expression of the board's appreciation of his services. Hie chairman's honorarium was increased by £SO to £260, Jn recognition of, the fact that he was giving so much time to the affaire of the board and its undertaking.
