STEAMER AGROUND.
TORRES STRAITS MISHAP. TASMAN FOR BRISBANE. (Received May 2. 1.5 a.m.) A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. May 1. A wireless message has been received stating that the Royal Packet Naviga tion Company's steamer Tasman, bound from Java to Brisbane, is ashore on a submerged extension of Clarke Island, Tories Straits. The steamer Houtman is standing by. The captain reports that the Tasman is in no danger.
