A wireless message has been received stating that the Royal Packet Naviga tion Company's steamer Tasman, bound from Java to Brisbane, is ashore on a submerged extension of Clarke Island, Tories Straits. The steamer Houtman is standing by. The captain reports that the Tasman is in no danger.
