NEW DENTAL CLINIC.
GREY LYNN BUILDING,, OPENING THIS AFTERNOON. A new dental clinic at the Grey Lynn school will be officially opened by the Mayor of Auckland, Mr. G, Baildon, this afternoon. The clinic, which cost £3lB, is furnished with two chairs and has the latest dental equipment. Two nurses will be in. attendance. The clinic is the seventh established by the Auckland Education Board. That they are serving a definite need in school life is evidenced by the many applications received by the board. The provision of nurses is proving a handicap, and for this reason it is expected that only three more clinics will be erected this year. One will shortly be established at Tauranga, a tender of £3OO having been accepted for the work. Tenders have already been received for a clinic at the Cambridge school, and are at present being considered by the Education Department. A clinic at the Paeroa school is also proposed.
