DEMAND UPON DOCK.
LINER NORTHUMBERLAND.
SEVERAL VESSELS WAITING.
TWO MONTHS' WORK AHEAD.
The work of repairing the liner Northumberland will be completed well ahead of contract time. The vessel is to come out of dock on April 16, and on April 20 she is to commence loading meat at Auckland for London. The Northumberland will have been in dock for nearly two months, with the consequence that the dockipg of other vessels has had to be postponed. A number of steamers are waiting their turn, and the dock is booked up for the next two months. The Northumberland's place in the dock will be taken by the Tofua, and she will be followed by the Waipori, Ngapuhi, H.M.S. Laburnum and H.M.S. Veronica, the cable steamer Iris- and the minesweeper Wakakura.
