A, and N.Z. ) tONDONj April 7. 1 The metropolitan division of the .National Union of Conservative Associations passed a resolution welcoming the Trade Union Bill, particularly the political levy provisions, and undertaking to sapport the passage of the measure. ~ , The executive committee of the trad? union group of members of the Houso of Commons passed a resolution describing the bill as.a measure .havipg.np from the people. It was a declaration of class war and involved the suppression of the legitimate rights of the workers, which would foment industrial hostility. - , . The Parliamentary Libera! Party passed a resolution condemning the genera} {strike of 1926 as an abuse of trade unionism. The resolution admitted that uncertainties in the trade union law before its amendment would need elucidation by an impartial inquiry. The party regretted the introduction of the bill, which would hamper the efforts to promote industrial ♦ peace and would divert the attention of Parliament from public economy and social reform. *' : :
