The sittings of the Preparatory Commission on Disarmament were continued at Geneva yesterday. After a lengthy debate the commission accepted the motion moved by Viscount Cecil (Britain), providing that each State should communicate to the League, in a form to be determined later, a statement showing the amount proposed to be expended on land, naval and air armaments during the current financial year. The commission referred the form of the tables to a financial" committee which will assemble in June. With a view to speeding up the deliberations, which threaten to become interminable, the ■ commission decided on a three hours' session daily, leaving the afternoons free for private interchanges. There will be an adjournment for four days at Easter. Viscount Cecil is going to Pallanza, Italy.; for Easter.
