DISCUSSION AT GENEVA. DETAILS OF POWERS' PLANS. (Received April 8, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z.. LONDON, April 8. The sittings of the Preparatory Commission on Disarmament were continued at Geneva yesterday. After a lengthy debate the commission accepted the motion moved by Viscount Cecil (Britain), providing that each State should communicate to the League, in a form to be determined later, a statement showing the amount proposed to be expended on land, naval and air armaments during the current financial year. The commission referred the form of the tables to a financial" committee which will assemble in June. With a view to speeding up the deliberations, which threaten to become interminable, the ■ commission decided on a three hours' session daily, leaving the afternoons free for private interchanges. There will be an adjournment for four days at Easter. Viscount Cecil is going to Pallanza, Italy.; for Easter.
