CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
[BY telegraph,—own correspondent.! OPOTIKI, Friday. The annual meeting of the Opotik Chamber of Commerce was held last evening, the president, i Mr. H. R. Hogg, presiding. , The balance-sheet showed a credit of £2 3s.
The president's report mentioned in the past year satisfactory results had been achieved by the chamber and through its representations many important works were being expedited. The time-table on the Tauranga-Taneatua line required further improvement to make it useful to the district. The election of officers resulted:—Pre sident, Mr. A. Braao; vice-president, .Mr J. N. Battle; council. Messrs. Hogg, Ar rowsmith, G. Moody, G. Vanstone, Sin clair, F. Armstrong, Barrett, Johnstone. G. Neilson, W. Reid, Fairweather, Hath away, Pearson and Siddall; auditor, Mr H. Jessup; secretary, Mr. C. Fleming.
