BIBLE INSTITUTE.
FAST YEAR'S ACTIVITIES. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute held in the Baptist Tabernacle was attended by a large gathering. Mr. R. L. Stewart presided. The annual report stated that the past session opened on March 1, with an en rolment of 19 men and 14 women, these students being drawn from all denomina tions from Invercargill to the Far Norith The event of greatest importance in the year's work was the purchase of a site in Upper Queen Street for a new build ing, and the decision of the directors to go right ahead with a building suitable for the institute. On November 20 the foundation stone was laid and it is ex pected the building will be completed by the end of May.
The report states that the present session has opened with an enrolment of 24 women and 28 men, an increase of 50 per cent, on last year's figures. Short addresses were given by the Rev Joseph Kemp, honorary principal of the institute, and Mr. C. J. Rolls, dean. Two students, Miss M. E. Brown and Mr Angus McKenzie, gave a short resume of the work and aims of the institute. Messrs. R. L. Stewart and R A Laiiri la%v, retiring directors were re-elected. During the evening instrumental and vocal items wero given by students.
