WHANGAREI NOTES.
COUNTY MAIN ROADS. DECLARATION OF EXTENSIONS. [by telegraph.—own correspondent. 1 WHANGAREI, Friday. The Whangarei County Council, at its meeting to-day, made a special order declaring extensions of the county main roads as follows: —Kamo-Wairua Road, 4 miles to Dip Bridge; Whangarei-One-rahi Road, miles to Tameterau; and Oakleigh-Moewhare Road, from Moewhare to Tauraroa, 1£ miles. Staff-Sersgant Major H. Ekins, who has been attached to the Defence Department in Whangarei for seven years, has received notice of transfer to Trentham. He will take up duty at tho latter centre about June. The' War Pensions Board sat at a session in the Courthouse this week.
