PRESENTATIONS.
Prior to his departure for North Auckland, to become assistant master at the Hikurangi school, Mr. J. B. Ryan was farewelled by the settlers at Wharepuhunga, near To Awamutu, and presented with a tobacco pouch in appreciation of the many sterling qualities displayed by him during nearly five years spent at Wharepuhunga as school teacher.
