RURAL ADVANCES SCHEME.
REGULATIONS GAZETTED. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN COB RESPONDENT. 1 Wellington; Friday. The first practical indication of the operation of the State Advances rural advances branch, authorised by legislation passed last session, is the gazetting of tho regulations controlling the method of application for advances and the scale of valuation fees. The fees range from 15s for a loan not exceeding £IOO, to £3 13s 6d, where the loan is between £3500 and £5500. The law costs for preparing and completing mortgages are also scheduled, the maximum charges, excluding cash disbursements, being £2 7s 6d, where the title is land transfer, and £6 m the case of a Crown grant.
