There was still room for improvement, and the committee hoped parents would recognise the advantages of keeping children at the school for a further year. Pupils of the school were again among the scholarship winners, Miss Hunt and Master Millener having been successful in gaining junior national scholarships, while out of seven candidates for senior free places live were successful. This certificate was usually granted to secondary school pupils who had completed two years, anrl it was pleasing to find them gaining the certificate in one year. Further success attended the efforts of the scholars in the' choir competitions. The receipts had been £267 12s Id, and the finances were in a sound position. ) BELMONT.
