LODGE REUNION PICNIC.
The Star of Eden Lodge held its eighth annual reunion picnic at Brown's Island on Saturday. In the morning there were races for children, and every child received a prize. The sports programme for adults in the afternoon resulted :—Mar ried ladies' race: Mrs. W. Mills, 1; Mrs. F Hawkes, 2. Three-legged race: Miss Bee and Mr. Brett. Lodge championship for Capstiek Cup: Mr. F. Midgley, 1 j Mr. Mcßae Forbes, 2. Stepping the chain: Mrs. W. B. Wilson, 1; Mrs. J. Paltridge, 2. Medley race: Mr. £. Olson. Charlie Chaplin ladies' race: Mrs. D. N. Matheson. jun., 1; Mrs. J. McNaoght. 2: Mrs. William, 3. Pick-a-back race: Messrs. H. Connolly and E. Skinner. Orchestra's race: E. Quoy. 1; G. Kemp, 2. The tug-cf-war, visitors v. lodge, was won by the lodge team.
