CHARGES FOR PLUMBING.

PERCENTAGE ON LABOUR. Matters in connection with charges for labour were considered at the annual conference of the- New Zealand Federation of Master Plumbers, which opened in Auckland yesterday. Several' members deplored the ignorance of the general public concerning the charges for public work. A report containing the results of a thorough investigation of the qnmion by expert" accountants was considered, arid it was decided the conference should reaffirm the opinion formed in 1922 and fix a charge of 75 per cent, on the cost of labour as the charge for plumbing work. This was considered fair and reasonable, bat it. allowed for c:.ily a small margin of profit after allowing for overhead expca&es.
