INCREASING THE SERVICE.
ENGINEERS SUBMIT SCHEMES
[ST TEUSOBAPIT. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'. ] GXSBORNE. Wednesday.
Proposals to augment the Gisborae water supply were presented to the Borough Council last evening in a report by Mr. L, H. Reynolds, which he had drawn np in collaboration with the municipal engineer, Mr. A. Young.
Alternative schemes submitted were:— A supplementary supply- of underground water from Matawhero and a special service reservoir, at a tots! cost of £49,730; the construction of a new reservoir j»t the Te Arai headwords increasing the discharge capacity of the present main and the service reservoir, at a total cost of £108.670.
