YOUNG WOMAN FRIGHTENED.
BURGLAR AT HER WINDOW. [BY TELEGRAPH." —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHHI3TCHURCH. Wednesday. With a collection of woman's clothing thrust undet'' his aim a man made a quick retreat from premises in Sandyford Street, Sydenham, recently, his shadow on her bedroom curtains having caused a young woman to scream. The roan clambered over a neighbouring fence and escaped. The young woman, who lives with her parents, went to bed at 10 p.m., her bedroom window being open, with light curtains drawn across it. Half an hour after she had gone to sleep she was sud denly awakened by n noise in her room. Silhouetted against the moonlight on the curtain was the figure of a man in a crouching attitude. He was balancing on the sill, preparatory to entering the room. The young woman screamed. The man pounced into the room and grabbed her clothing from the foot of the bed and, in a moment, he disappeared, taking th« stolen property with him.
