CENTENARIAN DEAD.

> THE OLDEST CALEDONIAN. FORMERLY IN NEW ZEALAND. A. and SO. The death is announced of Mr. John Hood, aged 103. It is believed that he was the oldest Scotsman living. Mr. Hood emigrated to New Zealand in the year 1857, and was in business there as a mail-coach contractor. He returned to his native village in Scotland in 1897.
