ODD STOCKINGS.
NEW FASHION SUGGESTED. AN ECONOMICAL ASPECT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed 7.5 p.m.) PARIS. Dec. 15. Flesh-coloured stockings are losing favour' among Parisiennes, who are now wearing black plaid and other patterns. The newspaper Paris Midi declares that if French makers wish to be successful they mast invent a more elegant fashion. It urges that there is no reason why oddcoloured stockings should not be worn. The idea that both legs should be tfie same colour is as old-fashioned as a pair of vases on a mantelpiece would be. The suggestion is also economical, as an old stocking could be worn with a new partner.
